Sep 26, 2025: “Project Update”
📅 Event Overview
Date: September 26, 2025, 21:30 JST
Theme: Project Update
Speaker: Founder Tomochika Kamiya
📝 AMA Summary
1. Super-Early Usage and Experience
Shared usage data after about one week since the start of Super-Early Access.
Weekly Active User rate (WAU) exceeded 95%, with an average of 1.13 BINDs per day, a very high level.
About 80% of users are enjoying the app in line with their lifestyles, and it has naturally blended into their “everyday spending habits.”
The design philosophy emphasizes a “keep at your own pace” experience rather than competition with others, which has been well received.
On the other hand, there are still many UI/UX and functional improvements needed, and continuous refinement will be pursued moving forward.
2. Product Improvement Policy
Shifted from the original plan of “fixed-date bulk release” to a phased (window-based) release approach.
Based on feedback from Super-Early Access users, the current focus is on quality of user experience rather than adding new features. Development resources are being concentrated on UI/UX improvements and quality enhancement, with flexibility in schedule adjustments.
Priority areas include wallet UX (design for reassurance) and improvements around payment data integration.
Although the release strategy itself has changed, Uncommon OG / Common OG holders will still begin usage in the next phase after Super-Early Access, as originally planned.
Global automatic payment data integration via Salt Edge is scheduled to begin in October (target).
3. Collaboration Sale & Activation Code Strategy
Activation codes will be distributed to participants of the collaboration NFT sale.
The goal is to filter and acquire highly engaged users willing to prepare BNB to participate.
4. NFT & Design Updates
Positive feedback and X posts confirmed user appreciation of the NFT reveal experience (Pod → Mini → Prime).
❓ Q&A
Here are the questions answered during the AMA.
BIND / Payment / EVT Mining
Q: EVT mining requires 2 payments (cumulative $20+) with the same card. Does this also apply to the same MANEKINEKO? A: No, it does not.
Q: If I switch cards after one BIND, how is EVT mining counted? A: EVT mining is judged based on which card the payment data is BINDed from.
Example 1: 1 BIND on Card A, 1 BIND on Card B → each is counted separately. A second BIND on either A or B fulfills the condition.
Example 2: If you switch to Card B but later BIND data from Card A again, it counts for Card A (2 times → condition met).
Q: How about multiple transaction data being grouped (e.g., Mitsui Sumitomo Card)? A: Currently considering features like hiding or deleting transactions. Technically feasible; verification with real data is ongoing.
Q: Any plans for paid subscriptions to increase data import frequency? A: No plans for subscription-based prioritization at this time. Import depends on partner API policies.
For Money Forward integration:
・Card company → Money Forward: depends on card company specs. ・Money Forward → SyFu: minimum once every 24 hours, plus on-demand when opening the BIND screen (but not within 6 hours of last import). Practically, data reflects within 6 hours. Improvement planned: reduce this lag from 6 hours to 3 hours.
NFT
Q: Can users keep their NFT in Mini form even after evolving to Prime? A: We also want this, but due to wide impact (marketplace, trading, etc.), it’s under future consideration.
Q: Will there be background color customization for MANEKINEKO in the app? A: Customization features (background, outfits, etc.) are under consideration as entertainment elements for future stages.
Q: Plans for items like STEPN’s gems, reflected in MANEKINEKO appearance (e.g., sunglasses, hats)? A: Customization items are being considered. 3D model development is resource-heavy, but may be added as entertainment features with project growth. “Uchide no Kozuchi” (details not disclosed) will appear in the future.
『LUPIN THE IIIRD × SyFu』 Collaboration NFT Sale
Q: The 『LUPIN THE IIIRD × SyFu』collab NFT seems cheap. Why? A: Price design was based on a $150–170 USD range. Goal: make it accessible for more users, while ensuring those who obtain it feel the benefit of exclusivity.
Limited supply, not for everyone. Past collab NFTs have traded at higher prices than regular Uncommon on secondary markets, reflecting brand value and rarity.
Q: Can 『LUPIN THE IIIRD × SyFu』collab breeding items be used on Rare MANEKINEKO? Could Rare collab NFT be born? A: No, limited to Uncommon OG. Rare cannot be born.
Q: Will there be badges or proof for those using collab-exclusive breed items? A: Not currently, but it’s an interesting idea worth considering.
Other
Q: Any plans for “exciting experiences” tied to high-value payments (e.g., PC purchase, luxury hotel stay)? A: Yes, special experiences or surprises for high-value payments are under consideration for future expansion.
Q: How many people are on the waiting list? A: Over 10,000 as of September 2025. Roughly 20% from Japan, ~80% international.
