# 1.1 App Installation & Initial Setup

Follow the steps below to start using SyFu.

#### **🪄 STEP 1: Obtain an Activation Code**

**▶ For SyFu NFT Holders (October 29 Snapshot Eligible)**

Access the special site below, connect your wallet, and obtain your activation code.\

If your connected wallet is not eligible, an error will be displayed.

**▶ Already Have an Activation Code?**

If you already have a code, proceed to **STEP 2** and enter your code there.

**▶ Don’t Have an Activation Code Yet?**

Activation codes will be distributed in stages. You can obtain one through the methods below:\\

1. **Join the Waiting List**\
   👉 Those registered will receive activation codes sequentially after public launch.\

2. **Receive an Invite from an Existing SyFu User**\
   You may receive an activation code from an existing SyFu user.\\

#### **📱 STEP 2: Install the App & Register Your Account**

**Install the App**

**Create Your Account (Email Verification)**

1. Open the app, enter your email, and tap "Send Code."
2. A verification code will be sent to your email.
3. Enter the code into the app to complete verification.

**Enter the Activation Code**

After verifying your email, input your activation code in the app to complete registration.

#### **🔐 STEP 3: Create a SyFu Wallet**

**Open the Wallet Screen**

Tap the "Wallet" button at the bottom right on the home screen.

**Read the Explanation and Notes**

Read through the wallet details and tap "I Understand" to proceed.

**Set Up Authentication Methods**

You will need to complete the following three authentications:

1. **Email Verification**
   * Enter your email and tap "Send Code."
   * Enter the received code in the app.
2. **Phone Number or Google Authenticator**\
   Choose one of the following:\\

   **\[Phone Number]**

   * Enter your phone number and tap "Send Code."
   * Enter the received code to complete verification.\\

   **\[Google Authenticator]**

   * Install the app as instructed.
   * Use the setup key to create a new account.
   * Enter the verification code into the app.\\
3. **Register Passkey (Face ID / Fingerprint)**

   * Follow on-screen prompts to set Face ID or fingerprint based on your device.

   ※ The type of passkey will depend on your device.

**Backup Your Private Key**

Your private key will be shown after wallet creation.\
Make sure to store it in a safe place and never share it with others.

> 💡 **SyFu Wallet uses MPC (Multi-Party Computation) technology**.\
> Your key is never stored in one location; it’s split across multiple secure components.\
> You don’t need to manage or input your private key.\
> It’s a secure and user-friendly wallet system.

> ⚠️ The displayed private key is for backup/emergency recovery only.\
> If lost or leaked, it cannot be recovered. Store it securely offline.

#### **🐾 STEP 4: Prepare Your MANEKINEKO NFT**

To use SyFu, you need to own a **MANEKINEKO NFT** in the game.\
Send the NFT to your SyFu wallet in STEP 5, then move it into the game in STEP 6.\
You will also be able to buy them in the upcoming SyFu Marketplace.

**Eligible NFTs**

* **MANEKINEKO NFTs** (excluding Genesis)\
  Includes collaboration NFTs and MANEKINEKO Origin

**Ineligible NFTs**

* **MANEKINEKO Genesis**\
  Cannot be used directly in the game. However, holding one improves trust rank and ecosystem contribution.\
  Genesis holders also receive special airdrops and early access to sales.

> ⚠️ Genesis and Origin are different NFTs.\
> Origin does **not** qualify as Genesis for any conditions.

**▶ Don’t Have a MANEKINEKO NFT?**

You can buy one from the following marketplace:

#### **💼 STEP 5: Send MANEKINEKO NFT to Your SyFu Wallet**

**Get Your Wallet Address**

1. Tap "Wallet" on the app's home screen.
2. Go to "Owned NFTs" and tap "Receive" to copy your wallet address.

**Send From an External Wallet**

* Use [SyFu NFT Transfer](https://manekineko.syfu.io/transfer) to batch send up to 30 NFTs.\
  ※ Gas fee (BNB) required.
* Reflection in the app may take a few minutes.\

**Prepare BNB for Gas Fees**

Gas fees are needed to move NFTs into the game.\
Send BNB to your SyFu wallet beforehand.

#### **🎮 STEP 6: Move NFT Into the Game**

**Select Your NFT**

Choose one NFT from "Owned NFTs" in your wallet.

**Tap "Move into the Game"**

Review the notes, then proceed to move it into the game.

* It may take a few minutes to reflect.
* Currently, only one NFT can be moved at a time.
* Gas fee (BNB) is required.

Once completed, your NFT will appear in the in-game NFT screen.

#### **💳 STEP 7: Set Up Payment Data Integration (Optional)**

In SyFu, you can grow your NFT and earn tokens based on your **payment data**.\
There are two import methods:

**Import Methods**

* **Automatic**: Connect with APIs like Money Forward ME or Salt Edge to auto-import card data.
* **Manual**: Upload card statements via OCR

**Supported Regions and Integrations**

* Japan: Money Forward ME (credit cards only)
* Global: Open Banking APIs (credit/debit supported)\
