# 9.7 OG / Origin / Genesis

This page explains the differences between OG, Origin, and Genesis bloodline in Breed.

These concepts relate to the child MANEKINEKO's bloodline base, the current Breed judgment, and future bloodline design.

Understanding them makes it easier to understand Breed using OG, Breed using Genesis bloodline, and Inbreeding involving Origin individuals.

In the Breed chapter, OG refers to OG MANEKINEKO of Uncommon or higher rarity that are eligible for Breed.

### Difference between OG / Origin / Genesis bloodline

First, OG, Origin, and Genesis bloodline do not mean the same thing.

| Term | Meaning | Main treatment in Breed |
| ----------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| OG | OG MANEKINEKO that do not have a standard bloodline in their initial state | When placed on Left, a bloodline is selected from the 31 non-Genesis bloodlines. |
| Origin | MANEKINEKO with Genesis bloodline | When placed on Left, Genesis bloodline becomes the child's bloodline base. |
| Genesis bloodline | A bloodline name included in the Z / Zenith group | Relates to Nicks judgment. |

OG is not a MANEKINEKO with a fixed standard bloodline.

Origin is a MANEKINEKO with Genesis bloodline.

Genesis bloodline is the bloodline name held by Origin.

Separating these three concepts is the starting point for Breed bloodline design.

### When OG is placed on Left

When OG is placed on Left and Breed is executed, the child MANEKINEKO's bloodline is selected from the 31 non-Genesis bloodlines at Breed execution.

Even when the same OG is used for Breed multiple times, the bloodline is selected each time Breed is executed.

| MANEKINEKO placed on Left | Child's bloodline base |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| Standard MANEKINEKO | Left bloodline |
| Origin | Genesis bloodline |
| OG | Bloodline selected at Breed execution |

In Breed where OG is placed on Left, the selected bloodline is treated as the bloodline for that Breed attempt.

Therefore, Nicks may occur depending on the combination between the selected bloodline and the Right-side bloodlines.

OG is treated as an entry point for generating new bloodlines inside the ecosystem.

***

### When OG is placed on Right

When OG is placed on Right, no bloodline selection from the 31 non-Genesis bloodlines occurs.

OG also does not become the bloodline base of the child MANEKINEKO.

| OG placement | Bloodline selection | Child's bloodline base | Bloodline design treatment |
| ------------ | ------------------- | ------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| Left | Occurs | Selected bloodline | Placement used to generate a new bloodline |
| Right | Does not occur | Does not become the child's bloodline base | Not used as a placement for generating a new bloodline |

If you want to generate a bloodline or aim for Nicks using a bloodline selected from OG, place OG on Left.

### Treatment of Origin and Genesis bloodline

Origin is a MANEKINEKO with Genesis bloodline.

Genesis bloodline is a bloodline name included in the Z / Zenith group.

| Item | Treatment |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------------------------- |
| Type of MANEKINEKO | Origin |
| Bloodline name | Genesis |
| Bloodline group | Z / Zenith |
| Main role | Carries Genesis bloodline into the next generation |

When Origin is placed on Left and Breed is executed, Genesis bloodline becomes the bloodline base of the child MANEKINEKO.

When Origin is placed on Right, Genesis bloodline is not directly inherited into the child MANEKINEKO's Pedigree.

However, in the current Breed judgment, it is included as a Right Partner judgment input for Nicks, Inbreeding, and other judgments.

| Origin placement | Inheritance into the child's Pedigree | Current Breed judgment |
| ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| Left | Genesis bloodline becomes the child's bloodline base. | Included in judgment input. |
| Right | Genesis bloodline is not directly inherited into the child's Pedigree. | Included as a Right Partner judgment input. |

If you want to leave Genesis bloodline as the next generation's bloodline base, place Origin on Left.

### Role of Genesis bloodline

Genesis bloodline belongs to the Z / Zenith group.

Like standard bloodlines, it is involved in Nicks judgment, which checks bloodline compatibility between Left and Right.

If a Nick that includes Genesis bloodline occurs and is selected, it is treated as a Genesis-type Nick, or Genesis premium.

Genesis-type Nicks are subject to stronger upside correction than standard Nicks.

However, they do not guarantee any specific Breed result such as a P-rank, Rare, or Elite.

The detailed judgment order, relationship with Nicks count, and how each lottery is affected are explained later in Nicks and Bloodline Strategy.

### Origin individuals and Inbreeding

Origin is a MANEKINEKO with Genesis bloodline, but it is also treated as an individual for Inbreeding.

When the same Origin individual overlaps within the Pedigree, it is treated as a special Inbreeding element that differs from standard Inbreeding.

What matters here is not only the bloodline name Genesis, but whether it is the same Origin individual.

The detailed judgment is explained later in [Inbreeding](/breed/inbreeding-and-combined-judgment.md).

### Strategic view in Breed

Understanding the roles of OG, Origin, and Genesis bloodline makes it easier to organize what you are aiming for in Breed.

| Goal | How to think about it |
| ------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Generate a new bloodline | Place OG on Left. |
| Aim for Nicks using a bloodline selected from OG | Place OG on Left and check compatibility between the selected bloodline and the Right side. |
| Leave Genesis bloodline as the child's bloodline base | Place Origin on Left. |
| Include Genesis bloodline in the current Breed judgment | Use Origin, or a MANEKINEKO with Genesis bloodline, in Breed. |
| Think about Inbreeding involving an Origin individual | Check whether the same Origin individual overlaps within the Pedigree. |

In Breed, it is important to separate which bloodlines are used for the current judgment from which bloodlines are carried into the next generation.

### Summary

OG, Origin, and Genesis bloodline each have different roles.

OG is the entry point for generating new bloodlines.\
Origin is a MANEKINEKO with Genesis bloodline, and it carries that bloodline into the next generation.\
Genesis bloodline is a bloodline name included in the Z / Zenith group and is involved in Nicks judgment.

When the same Origin individual overlaps within the Pedigree, it also becomes important for Inbreeding judgment.
