# 9.10 Breeding Result Determination and Review Process

This page explains the order for reviewing individual breeding results, including Rare P0, Elite, P Rank, and Pedigree inheritance, as well as the elements to check depending on the purpose of the breeding.

The positioning of P Ranks and Rare P0 in Season 1, relative strategic directions, and an illustrative view of the overall Season composition are explained on the next page, [9.11 Season 1 Breeding Results and Lineage Strategy](/breed/season-1-breed-results-and-lineage-strategy.md).

The following elements are involved in breeding.

* Left / Right placement
* Pedigree
* OG / Origin / Genesis bloodlines
* Nicks
* Inbreeding

In lineage strategy, it is important to consider these elements together while separating the purpose of each breeding.

When reviewing breeding results, the following points should mainly be considered separately.

* Possibility of a Rare P0 being born
* Possibility of an Elite being born
* P Rank upside
* P Rank inheritance from an Elite parent
* Bloodline lines remaining in the child MANEKINEKO's Pedigree

***

#### Basic order for reviewing breeding results

When reviewing breeding results, first consider Rare, Elite, and P Rank separately.

The elements to check differ depending on whether the purpose of the breeding is Rare, Elite, or P Rank upside.

| Review order | What to check | Description |
| ------------ | ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 1 | Entry point for Rare P0 | Check whether the breeding is eligible for a Rare P0 roll through Origin / Elite Inbreeding or is a Rare-related breeding. |
| 2 | Elite roll | Check whether White TAIYAKI is used. |
| 3 | P Rank | Check Nicks, Genesis premium, Inbreeding, and P Rank inheritance from an Elite parent. |
| 4 | Pedigree inheritance | Check which bloodline lines remain in the child MANEKINEKO's Pedigree. |

Finally, check which bloodline lines remain in the child MANEKINEKO's Pedigree.

Bloodlines and individual identifier codes remaining in the Pedigree also affect future breeding strategies.

#### Routes through which Rare P0 can be born

Rare P0 is not limited to breeding that includes a Rare individual as a parent.

The main entry points related to Rare P0 are as follows.

| Route | Description |
| --------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Origin / Elite Good Inbreeding | When an Origin / Elite individual becomes Main Inbreeding in Stable / Golden, the breeding becomes eligible for both the Rare P0 roll and P Rank roll. |
| Special determination for Danger / Forbidden involving Origin / Elite | When an Origin / Elite individual becomes Main Inbreeding in Danger / Forbidden, the breeding becomes subject to a special Rare P0 determination at a very low probability. |
| Rare-related breeding | A fixed Rare P0 roll is performed when a Rare individual is included as a parent. |

Rare-related breeding is a Rare P0 roll that becomes relevant after Rare individuals can be used as parents.

Before Rare individuals exist, the Rare P0 roll through Origin / Elite Inbreeding serves as an entry point for the birth of Rare.

In Rare-related breeding, the fixed Rare P0 roll is the primary Rare P0 determination.

Therefore, if the Rare P0 roll is not won, an additional Rare P0 roll through Origin / Elite Good Inbreeding does not occur in the same breeding.

***

#### Fixed Rare P0 roll in Rare-related breeding

When a Rare individual is included as a parent, a fixed Rare P0 roll is performed.

| Breeding combination | Rare P0 roll rate |
| -------------------------- | ----------------- |
| Rare × Rare | 50% |
| Left Rare × Right Uncommon | 20% |
| Left Uncommon × Right Rare | 10% |

In Rare-related breeding, the fixed Rare P0 roll is checked first.

If the Rare P0 roll is won, Rare P0 is born.

If the Rare P0 roll is not won, the MANEKINEKO is born as an Uncommon MANEKINEKO rather than Rare P0 and follows the P Rank determination.

In addition, if the Rare P0 roll is not won in Rare-related breeding, an additional Rare P0 roll through Origin / Elite Good Inbreeding does not occur in the same breeding.

***

#### How the Elite roll works

When aiming for Elite, check whether White TAIYAKI is used.

Breeding using White TAIYAKI becomes eligible for the Elite roll.

The Elite roll does not occur in standard breeding without White TAIYAKI.

| State | Elite roll treatment |
| -------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| White TAIYAKI is used | Eligible for the Elite roll |
| White TAIYAKI is not used | The Elite roll does not occur |
| Two White TAIYAKI are used | This does not result in two Elite rolls and does not increase the roll rate |
| Rare-related breeding | White TAIYAKI cannot be used |

The Elite roll rate when using White TAIYAKI is 50%.

If White TAIYAKI is used in a breeding that is also eligible for a Rare P0 roll, the Rare P0 roll is performed first.

If Rare P0 is born, the Elite roll is not performed, and the White TAIYAKI is not consumed.

If the breeding is not eligible for a Rare P0 roll, or if Rare P0 is not born, the White TAIYAKI is consumed and the Elite roll is performed.

The same child MANEKINEKO cannot be both Rare and Elite.

White TAIYAKI is an item related to the Elite roll.

It does not directly increase the P Rank roll or the Rare P0 roll itself.

However, even in breeding using White TAIYAKI, P Rank is determined separately through the P Rank determination.

The Rare P0 roll and the Elite roll are separate determinations. If White TAIYAKI is used in a breeding that is also eligible for a Rare P0 roll, whether the Elite roll is performed depends on the result of the Rare P0 roll.

#### Elements related to P Rank

P Rank represents the parameter rank of the breeding result.

The main elements related to P Rank are as follows.

| Element | P Rank treatment |
| --------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Number of active Nicks | The higher the number, the higher the potential for P Rank upside. |
| Genesis premium | When a Nick containing a Genesis bloodline is selected as an active Nick, it is related to P Rank upside. |
| Stable / Golden Inbreeding with a standard individual | Nicks effects remain valid. However, this Inbreeding itself does not create additional P Rank upside or a Rare P0 roll. |
| Origin / Elite Good Inbreeding | Becomes eligible for the P Rank roll and Rare P0 roll. |
| Special determination for Danger / Forbidden involving Origin / Elite | Becomes subject to a special determination for Rare P0 or P4 at a very low probability. |
| Danger / Forbidden Inbreeding | Nicks effects and Genesis premium do not apply. |

When Inbreeding falls under Danger / Forbidden, Nicks effects do not apply to that breeding.

Genesis premium also does not apply.

If the special P4 roll is not won, no P4 upside occurs through the Danger / Forbidden special determination, and the P Rank determination without Nicks effects is applied.

The breeding itself is not treated as a failure.

#### How P Rank floors work

Under certain conditions, a minimum P Rank floor may apply to a breeding result.

| Condition | P Rank floor treatment |
| ------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| 3 active Nicks + Left parent P2 or higher | The child MANEKINEKO's minimum P Rank is P1. |
| Rare-related breeding where the Rare P0 roll is not won | The MANEKINEKO is born as Uncommon, with a P Rank of P2 or higher. |
| Elite roll is won using White TAIYAKI | The Elite's P Rank will not be lower than the Left parent's P Rank. |
| An Elite individual is used as the Left parent | Up to three child MANEKINEKO can be born inheriting that Elite's P Rank. |

The P Rank floor varies depending on which elements are active.

Nicks, Rare-related breeding, Elite through White TAIYAKI, and P Rank inheritance from an Elite parent should each be reviewed as separate mechanisms.

***

#### When an Elite individual is used as the Left parent

P Rank inheritance from an Elite individual applies when the Elite individual is used as the Left parent.

In Season 1, when an Elite individual is used as the Left parent in breeding, up to three child MANEKINEKO can be born inheriting that Elite individual's P Rank.

This is a P Rank inheritance rule that applies when an Elite individual is used as the Left parent.

It does not automatically make the Rare P0 roll or Elite roll more favorable.

Even when an Elite individual is used as the Left parent, Nicks judgment and Inbreeding judgment are performed as usual.

| State | Treatment |
| -------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Elite is used as the Left parent | Becomes subject to the P Rank inheritance rule for an Elite parent |
| Elite is used as the Left parent and Nicks are established | Nicks judgment is performed as usual |
| Elite is used as the Left parent and Inbreeding is established | Inbreeding judgment is performed as usual |

P Rank inheritance from an Elite parent and Elite Inbreeding, where the same Elite individual overlaps within the Pedigree, are separate mechanisms.

The detailed treatment of Elite Inbreeding is explained in [9.9 Inbreeding and Combined Judgment](/breed/inbreeding-and-combined-judgment.md).

***

#### Relationship between Rare and Elite

Breeding aimed at Rare P0 and breeding aimed at Elite are not the same.

Rare P0 is born through Rare P0 rolls from Origin / Elite Inbreeding or the fixed Rare P0 roll in Rare-related breeding.

Elite is born through the Elite roll using White TAIYAKI.

| Goal | Main elements to check |
| ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Rare P0 | Rare P0 roll through Origin / Elite Inbreeding and the fixed Rare P0 roll in Rare-related breeding |
| Elite | Whether White TAIYAKI is used |
| P Rank upside | Number of active Nicks, Genesis premium, Main Inbreeding, and P Rank inheritance from an Elite parent |

White TAIYAKI cannot be used in Rare-related breeding.

Rare P0 and Elite are separate results. If White TAIYAKI is used in a breeding that is also eligible for a Rare P0 roll, the Rare P0 roll is performed first. If Rare P0 is not born, the Elite roll is then performed.

***

#### Twin

In rare cases, two MANEKINEKO may be born from a single breeding.

This special breeding result is called a "Twin."

The additional MANEKINEKO born as part of a Twin can be used as a standard MANEKINEKO, but cannot be naturalized into EVT.

***

#### Pedigree inheritance

When reviewing breeding results, it is important to check not only the roll results but also what remains in the child MANEKINEKO's Pedigree.

As explained in 9.6, the bloodline lines recorded in the Pedigree and carried forward to the next generation are always lines inherited as Left-side lines.

| What to check | Meaning |
| --------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| Left individual | Shown as 1G in the child's Pedigree |
| Left Pedigree | Inherited into the child's Pedigree one generation deeper |
| Right individual | Not shown directly in the child's Pedigree |
| Bloodline line selected from the Right side | Inherited into the child's Pedigree one generation deeper |
| Bloodlines shown in the Pedigree | Affect future Nicks judgment |
| Individual identifier codes, or tokenIds, shown in the Pedigree | Affect future Inbreeding judgment |

For this reason, lineage strategy is not only about the result of a single breeding. It is also important to consider which bloodline lines to carry forward into future generations.

***

#### Organizing breeding strategy

When considering breeding strategy, separate the elements to check by purpose.

| Purpose | What to check |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Rare P0 | Whether the breeding is eligible for a Rare P0 roll through Origin / Elite Inbreeding or the fixed Rare P0 roll in Rare-related breeding |
| Elite | Whether White TAIYAKI is used |
| P Rank upside | Number of active Nicks, Genesis premium, Main Inbreeding, and P Rank inheritance from an Elite parent |
| Make use of Genesis bloodlines | Whether Origin is placed on Left / Right, or whether a Nick containing a Genesis bloodline is selected as an active Nick |
| Make use of the special characteristics of Origin / Elite | Whether the same Origin / Elite individual overlaps within the Pedigree and is treated as Main Inbreeding |
| Plan for future breeding | Which bloodline lines remain in the child MANEKINEKO's Pedigree |

Before Rare individuals exist, the Rare P0 roll through Origin / Elite Inbreeding serves as an entry point for the birth of Rare.

After Rare individuals can be used as parents, the fixed Rare P0 roll through Rare-related breeding becomes relevant.

When Inbreeding falls under Danger / Forbidden, note that Nicks effects and Genesis premium do not apply.

When a Nick containing a Genesis bloodline is selected as an active Nick, it is treated as Genesis premium.

When an Origin / Elite individual overlaps in Stable / Golden, it is treated as Good Inbreeding.

When an Origin / Elite individual overlaps in Danger / Forbidden, it becomes subject to a special determination for Rare P0 or P4 at a very low probability.

***

#### Summary

When reviewing breeding results, consider Rare, Elite, P Rank, and Pedigree inheritance separately.

Rare P0 may be born not only through Rare-related breeding, but also through Rare P0 rolls from Origin / Elite Inbreeding.

A fixed Rare P0 roll is performed in Rare-related breeding.

If the Rare P0 roll is not won in Rare-related breeding, an additional Rare P0 roll through Origin / Elite Good Inbreeding does not occur in the same breeding.

When aiming for Elite, check whether White TAIYAKI is used.

The Elite roll rate when using White TAIYAKI is 50%.

White TAIYAKI does not directly increase the P Rank roll or Rare P0 roll itself.

When aiming for P Rank upside, check the number of active Nicks, Genesis premium, Main Inbreeding, and P Rank inheritance from an Elite parent.

When an Elite individual is used as the Left parent, up to three child MANEKINEKO can be born inheriting that Elite individual's P Rank.

P Rank inheritance from an Elite parent and the special determination associated with Elite Inbreeding are separate mechanisms.

When Inbreeding falls under Danger / Forbidden, Nicks effects and Genesis premium do not apply.

Bloodline lines remaining in the Pedigree can be used to plan future Nicks and Inbreeding combinations.

In breeding strategy, it is important to consider not only the result of a single breeding, but also which bloodline lines to carry forward to the next generation.
