# 9.1 Season 1 Basic Spec

This page explains the basic conditions for using MANEKINEKO in Breed Season 1.

Breed has several execution conditions, including the state of the parent MANEKINEKO, Breed Count, Cooldown, and supported combinations.

Here, we first organize which MANEKINEKO can be used for Breed in Season 1 and which combinations are supported.\
Detailed costs such as EVT, Econ, and TAIYAKI are explained on the next page, [Breed Cost](/breed/breed-cost.md).

### MANEKINEKO eligible for Breed

To execute Breed in Season 1, the two MANEKINEKO placed on Left and Right must meet all of the following conditions.

| Condition | Season 1 rule |
| ------------ | -------------------------------------- |
| Growth stage | Must be Prime. |
| Lifespan | Must have at least 40% remaining. |
| HP | Must be 100%. |
| Breed Count | Must be below 5. |
| Location | Must be inside SyFu Game. |
| Marketplace | Must not be listed on the Marketplace. |
| Cooldown | Must not be in Cooldown. |

MANEKINEKO that do not meet the conditions cannot be used as Breed parents.

For example, if HP is not 100%, Repair is required before Breed.\
MANEKINEKO listed on the Marketplace and MANEKINEKO in Cooldown after Breed also cannot be used for Breed.

### Left / Right basics

Breed uses two MANEKINEKO.

In GitBook, the MANEKINEKO placed on the left side is called Left, and the MANEKINEKO placed on the right side is called Right.

| Placement | Role |
| --------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Left | The parent that becomes the base of the child MANEKINEKO. |
| Right | The parent that is involved in the current Breed combination. |

The MANEKINEKO placed on Left becomes the base of the child MANEKINEKO.

The MANEKINEKO placed on Right is not left as the child's bloodline tag, but it is involved in the current Breed judgment.

The detailed difference between Left and Right is explained later in [Left / Right Roles](/breed/left-right-and-pedigree.md).

### Main set restrictions

In Season 1, there are restrictions on which MANEKINEKO and items can be set on the Breed screen.

| Restriction | Description |
| --------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| MANEKINEKO that do not meet the required conditions | Cannot be used for Breed. |
| MANEKINEKO in Cooldown | Cannot be used for Breed. |
| MANEKINEKO listed on the Marketplace | Cannot be used for Breed. |
| Elite | Cannot be set on Right. |
| White TAIYAKI | Cannot be used in Rare-related Breed. |

If something cannot be set, follow the guidance shown in the app.

The detailed rules for White TAIYAKI and Elite are explained later in [9.10 Bloodline Strategy and Breed Result Expectations](/breed/lineage-strategy-and-result-expectations.md).

### Breed Count

Breed Count is the number of times a MANEKINEKO has been used for Breed.

In Season 1, each MANEKINEKO can be used for Breed up to 5 times.

When Breed succeeds, Breed Count is increased by 1 for both the Left and Right MANEKINEKO.

| State | Breed Count |
| --------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------- |
| Only set on the Breed screen | Not added |
| Cancelled before execution | Not added |
| Transaction failed | Not added |
| Result was not finalized due to a system-side error | Not added |
| Breed succeeded | +1 for both Left and Right |

Once a MANEKINEKO reaches Breed Count 5, it can no longer be used as a Breed parent.

### Cooldown after Breed

When Breed succeeds, the Left and Right MANEKINEKO used in that Breed enter a 24-hour Cooldown state.

Cooldown is managed per MANEKINEKO, not per account.

The following actions are not available while a MANEKINEKO is in Cooldown.

| Action | Available during Cooldown |
| -------------------- | ------------------------- |
| External transfer | No |
| Marketplace listing | No |
| Use in another Breed | No |

Even within the same account, another MANEKINEKO that is not in Cooldown can be used for Breed if it meets the required conditions.

### Breed combinations supported in Season 1

Season 1 supports the following combinations.

| Combination | Season 1 treatment |
| -------------------------- | ------------------ |
| Uncommon x Uncommon | Supported |
| Left Uncommon x Right Rare | Supported |
| Left Rare x Right Uncommon | Supported |
| Rare x Rare | Supported |

Uncommon x Uncommon is the base Breed combination in Season 1.

Breed that includes Rare may result in a Rare P0.\
Breed that includes Rare requires different EVT, Econ, and TAIYAKI from standard Uncommon x Uncommon Breed.

Costs are explained in [Breed Cost](/breed/breed-cost.md), and the details of Breed that includes Rare are explained in [9.10 Bloodline Strategy and Breed Result Expectations](/breed/lineage-strategy-and-result-expectations.md).

### Rare born in Season 1

All Rare MANEKINEKO born from Breed in Season 1 are Rare P0.

Rare is expected to expand to P1-P4 in the future, but Season 1 only unlocks Rare P0.

| Item | Season 1 rule |
| ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------- |
| Rare output | Rare P0 only |
| Rare P1-P4 | Planned for phased release in future Seasons |
| Higher rarity expansion | Planned for future implementation |

In Season 1, SyFu unlocks a limited number of Rare MANEKINEKO, but does not yet unlock competition around Rare quality.

Expansion rules for Rare P1 and above, including higher rarities, are planned for phased implementation in future Seasons.

***

### Rare P0 lottery rate

In Breed that includes Rare, the Rare P0 lottery rate differs depending on the combination.

| Combination | Rare P0 lottery rate |
| -------------------------- | -------------------- |
| Rare x Rare | 50% |
| Left Rare x Right Uncommon | 20% |
| Left Uncommon x Right Rare | 10% |

If the Rare P0 lottery is not won, the result moves to the Uncommon branch.

In that case, Uncommon P2 is the base line, with a possibility of Uncommon P3 / P4 depending on conditions such as Nicks and Inbreeding.
